Tianjin Bohua Chemical Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Bohua Development”) was established in December 2015, located in Nangang Industrial Zone, Binhai New Area, Tianjin, covering an area of 3.05 square kilometers. Affiliated to Bohai Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd., it is a comprehensive chemical manufacturing enterprise integrating the coupled development of the chlor-alkali industry and the petrochemical industry.
Bohua Chemical Development Co., Ltd. (Hereinafter as BHCD) constructed the Bohua Nangang New Material Base with high standards. In this area, the first-phase project was fully put into operation in June 2022, and it focuses on the development of two major product chains of petrochemical and chlor-alkali chemicals. The subsidiary corporation Bohua Nangang Terminal Co.，Ltd, which giving full play to the advantage of “port-chemical integration”, utilizing domestic and foreign resources actively, and promoting the “diversification, light weight, and low carbonization” of olefin raw material routes deeply . It organically combines the transformation and upgrading of traditional advantageous industries with the development of modern petrochemical industries, eliminates high-energy-consuming and high-pollution process routes such as calcium carbide method polyvinyl chloride and chlorohydrin method propylene oxide, adopts green and efficient process technologies and intelligent management and control means, achieves major technological improvements, unswervingly takes the road of high-end differentiated development, and strives to build a modern high-end petrochemical industry cluster.
Aiming at the “five upgrades and one reduction”, namely safety upgrade, environmental protection upgrade, technology upgrade, energy conservation upgrade, efficiency improvement and risk reduction, Bohua Nangang New Material Base is committed to creating the industry-leading and unique “Bohua Intelligent Manufacturing” and forming a leading enterprise with industry demonstration effects. Its main capacities are 600,000 tons/year caustic soda, 800,000 tons/year vinyl chloride, 800,000 tons/year polyvinyl chloride，1.8 million tons/year MTO (methanol to olefins), 300,000 tons/year polypropylene, 200,000 tons/year propylene oxide, 450,000 tons/year styrene and etc., which have greatly enhanced the overall competitiveness of Bohai Chemical Group.
Taking “supplementing, increasing, and strengthening the industrial chain” as the goal, focusing on “high-end, high-quality, and high-efficiency”, and centering on “specialized, refined, unique, and innovative” products, the Bohua Nangang New Material Base fully combines its own development characteristics, reasonably plans the industrial layout, gradually expands the production scale, and enhances core competitiveness. BHCD’s second-phase projects include 300,000 tons/year Caustic Soda, 400,000 tons/year Vinyl Chloride, 400,000 tons/year Polyvinyl Chloride and 120,000 tons/year Paste PVC, with a planned operating time within 2025.
Taking the construction of an Intelligent Chemical Plant as the main direction and based on digital 3D design and delivery, Bohua Nangang New Material Base focuses on building six major intelligent platforms: HSE management platform, digital asset platform, MES production management platform, ERP enterprise resource planning platform, big data cloud computing platform, and portal platform, which ensure the realization of the intelligent factory construction goals of full-dimensional digitization, full-process visualization, and full-information integration. It helps the enterprise’s high-quality development and transformation and upgrading with the Digital Factory, Intelligent Factory, Green Factory, Low-carbon Factory, and Waste-Free Factory.
